Hi, we are Danny and Robyn Black, the new owners and principals of Essential Office Solutions, a Mentone based bookkeeping practice that has been providing outstanding service to Melbourne and it’s surrounding suburbs for over 20 years.

Our philosophy is simple, a great service at a great price and the commitment to making your bookkeeping, payroll and compliance matters as painless and easy as possible.

With a knowledge base that comes with nearly 30 years in corporate and tax accounting, bookkeeping and payroll processing for a variety of industries, we believe that we are able to offer our clients the tools, resources and support to help businesses run more efficiently, save money whilst meeting all their compliance needs.

We are constantly bringing in to our business new and innovative packages to help streamline the way your business manages its bookkeeping. 

As registered Tax Agents we are able to offer a one-stop-shop whereby all your accounting and bookkeeping needs can be handled from the one place ensuring continuity for you and business and savings in both time and money.

We have a staff of highly trained and experienced bookkeepers who share our philosophy and work with our clients to make their bookkeeping as painless as possible.

We offer both cloud based and mainstream bookkeeping solutions and with our new training arm zero2u we can offer training in Xero and it’s many add-ons.

How we work

At Essential Office Solutions, we understand that time is money.

We’ve developed a set of internal procedures that ensures we run our own business as cost-effectively as possible and we love to share what we’ve learned with our clients.

In our office, we use WorkflowMax, a software solution that allows us to transparently manage every aspect of our day-to-day operations; from quoting to invoicing, time sheeting to invoicing and everything in between.

We create an individual file for every client in WorkflowMax where we capture all the work we do for our clients. So if your own bookkeeper happens to be unavailable when you have a query about your accounts, another team member will be able to open your file and assist you.

We also create an individual procedure manual for each of our clients and keep it updated as we get to know more about you and your company. In the long run, this eliminates the need to be in constant contact with you, which means you have more time to focus on growing your business.
